Mechanical Engineering Students From Universitas Indonesia visited MGM Bosco Logistics Facility in Bekasi.
MGM Bosco Logistic recently had the honor of welcoming
students from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, to its cold
storage facility in Bekasi. This visit was part of the student’s refrigeration
engineering courses, designed to provide practical insight into cold storage
and refrigerated operations. The collaboration aimed to bridge the gap between
academic knowledge and real-world application, equipping the students with
hands-on experience in the logistic industry.
The students were welcomed by Mr. Nandi Suwandi,
General Manager of Marketing at MGM Bosco Logistic, who introduced the
company’s profile, outlining its operations, key services, and position as a
leader in Indonesia’s cold storage logistics sector. This introduction was
followed by an extensive tour of the facility, during which the student had the
opportunity to observe the technical and operation aspects of the company’s
advanced refrigeration systems.
Throughout the tour, the students were able to deepen
their understanding of how cold storage facilities are managed on day-to-day
basis. They were exposed to the intricate details of refrigeration processes,
temperature control mechanism, energy efficient protocols, and the logistics
behind maintaining quality of the product during storage and transport.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Idrus Alhamid, Head of Energy
Conversion Science at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of
Engineering, Universitas of Indonesia shared his thoughts on the visit: “We
had and incredible experience visiting MGM Bosco Logistic a leading logistic
company in Indonesia where this experience has provided our students with
invaluable insight into the operational challenged and innovations in the cold
storage sector; the visit served as a platform for the students to explore
innovative ideas for advancing the cold storage facilities and refrigerated
transportation by blending theoretical knowledge from the classroom with
real-life industrial practices where they gained a comprehensive understanding
of the complexities involved in managing a large-scale refrigerated logistic
operation”.
Efficient refrigeration solutions and cutting-edge
logistics management are two ways that MGM Bosco Logistic is working to better
serve its customers. We hope that by opening our doors to aspiring engineers,
we may spark new ideas and foster the growth of creative solutions that can
influence the course of cold storage logistics in Indonesia in the years to
come. We are proud to have a role in preparing engineers of the future by
creating a learning environment that combines academic theory with practical
experience. By reinforcing educational partnerships that aim to motivate the
next generation of logistics and engineering industry professionals, this
effort exemplifies our commitment to innovation and constant development, which
will keep us ahead of the competition in the cold storage logistics sector.
